Air Hunger is the colloquial term for feeling like you can't take in enough oxygen and is something that affects 1000s of anxiety sufferers.
For many, it feels as though they can't expand their chest enough to take a full and satisfying breath. The feeling is of being short of breath (medically termed Dyspnea). Whilst this feeling can be caused by a number of physiological issues, it's also common with anxiety sufferers for whom there's no underlying medical issue at all. Many anxiety sufferers who struggle with air hunger battle to believe it's 'just anxiety' due to it feeling so physical.
